TentBox is an exciting high-growth company based near Southampton. We are looking for a part-time Finance Assistant to join our growing team, to take responsibility for day-to-day financial transactions.


● Processing customer invoices through an automated system

● Processing supplier invoices through an automated system

● Reconciling multi-currency bank accounts with significant transaction volumes

● Assisting the Finance Manager in all other day to day tasks.

The Ideal Candidate

● Experience using Xero essential

● Experience of Excel or Google Sheets

● Experience using Shopify and working in the e-commerce industry or in a B2C environment an advantage

● Organised and able to work to deadlines

● Confident, polite and professional manner

● Demonstrate excellent attention to detail

Accounts Assistant | Eastleigh | Salary: £23K-£25K

Mellfields, a Southampton based Freight Forwarder is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team. If you have accounting & purchase ledger experience, ideally working within a logistics / freight environment and want to join a friendly team at their offices in Eastleigh then this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant will be responsible for preparing & raising sales invoices, payment runs and reconciliations, chasing payment as well as other ad-hoc accountancy duties. Sage software experience is a must for this role along with good MS Excel skills.

Finance Coordinator | Southampton | Salary: £22K-£25K

He-Man Dual Controls Ltd is a well-established business based on the outskirts of Southampton, we are the leading name in Dual Control systems, designing, manufacturing and supplying directly to ADIs, motor manufacturers, vehicle dealerships and approved agents.

We are looking for a Finance Administrator to coordinate the complete finance function, this is a stand-alone role therefore the successful candidate should be happy to do everything required of them from filing to producing board reports. The company is currently transitioning to a new Sage company and in the process of introducing an ERP system. We welcome forward thinking, proactive candidates to bring new ideas and implement efficient processes to our small but friendly business.

Regular duties include

  • Day to day book-keeping (Credit control, purchase and sales ledger)
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Weekly and Monthly Payment run
  • Management Reports (management accounts & journals, month end & board level reporting)
  • Assisting with Year End and coordinating and preparing for audit
  • Monitoring budgets
  • VAT returns and EC sales
  • Fixed Asset register
  • Working with purchasing to ensure an efficient purchasing system and sign off of invoices
  • Main contact to liaise with external Accountants
  • Responsible for both main business account and holding company accounts
  • Ad-hoc support to Office Manager and Board of Directors

Skills & Experience

  • AAT qualified
  • Advanced Excel
  • Advanced Sage knowledge and experience
  • Experience within a stand-alone finance role
  • Commercial experience
  • International payments
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulously organised
  • Able to create reports and forecasts for P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow

In return, we offer 26 days annual leave (increasing with service) plus bank holidays and free on-site parking. Our hours of working are 7.30-16.00pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30-15.00pm on a Friday.
