Do you have shipping / logistics experience, maybe you are currently working for an importer or a freight forwarder, but looking to move to a company where you can work within a dedicated, small shipping team? Our client is a well-established importer based in Alton who imports nuts from the US.

The Role:

This is a varied role, but to summarise your day-to-day duties will include:

• Liaising with clients, suppliers, processors, hauliers, shipping lines and freight forwarders, warehouses, clearing agents etc.
• Entering data on the system and producing relevant shipping documents (invoices, shipping instructions, shipping notes)
• Updating company’s in-house databases and spreadsheets
• Verification of shipping documentation
• Handling and checking all original documents for customs clearance
• Tracking of the cargo and keeping all parties informed

Essential Criteria:

• Import or Export experience or bags of enthusiasm
• Documentation, such as Bills of Lading
• Commercially minded
• Excellent communication

Salary & Benefits:

For the right candidate our client is looking to pay between £25-30K depending on experience.
